1081. What We Can Learn From Will Smith's Dare

🎉 New #Podcast!

Two major things happen to us when we go on a dare all at once. They have to do with both our internal and external worlds. However, when we remain wherever we are and without a dare, both these worlds remain unchanged.

There is a six minute clip on YouTube that I reference in this episode. It is about the skydiving dare that Will Smith found himself and what we can learn from it. I played part of the clip here. Listen to this.

1080. One of The Best Ways to Stretch Our Potential To The Core

If I remain where I am, I can only be exposed to what I have always known. But when I go on a dare, I am forced to start seeing things differently.

One of the most powerful things that we all have in life is potential. No one lacks it. Everyone has it. The Crucial definition about potential is it's dormancy. Where there is no dare, there is no pushing potential

1079. Why Growth Is The Default Advantage of Going on A Dare

🎉 New #Podcast!
Daring the impossible has two perceived outcomes. We will either succeed or we will fail. But that's not entirely true anyway. Transactionally, those are the only two outcomes.

However, when we start to consider what cannot be counted, you realize that there is more than just a won or a loss. There are many other benefits we get, whether we lose or win. Check this one out.

1078. The Daring of the Impossible Future In Our Purpose Pursuits

🎉 New #Podcast!

This wonderful quote is the subject of this episode today:

“In order to inspire leaders to make a difference in their world, the breakthrough is to coach leaders to declare an “Impossible Future” that they passionately care about. An impossible future is one that cannot be achieved based on history and can only be realized by leaders reinventing not just their organizations, but themselves." ~ Robert Hagrove

To dare the impossible future should be a motivating thing especially for our purpose pursuit. Listen to this.

1075. Why Failure Must Be Expected As Part of A Successful Dare

🎉 New #Podcast!

There is no safety in daring to do the impossible for the pursuit of our purpose. Safety and daring cannot go hand in hand. Of course there is the element of getting protected as you go but ultimately, a dare will cost you something.

The reason why we don't dare much is that we are scared of what might come out of our move to affect our status quo so much so that it is changed. At other times, we are unsure if it will pay off, so we don't venture. Listen to this.

1074. Why We Need To Go Past Shame For The Sake of Our Pursuits

🎉 New #Podcast!

It goes without saying that when we take a dare, we risk many different things. In fact, those things that we risk could very well be the things that hold us back from daring. That's why we need to know them intimately.

They do vary from one thing to another and from one person to another. The point is that there is no daring that can be done of there is no price to pay for it. Here is one thing that we should watch out for when daring. Listen to this.

1073. Why Too Much Attachment Amplifies A Rejection and Prohibits A Dare

🎉 New #Podcast!

Teddy Roosevelt said "Far much better it is to dare a mighty thing, to win a glorious truimph even though checkered by failure..." He would know being one the the most outstanding men who ever lived.

Certainly, daring comes at a price. Jesus Christ taught that before we can venture into a dare, we ought to "count the cost" first. Part of the costs for your dare will be rejection. How do you handle that? Listen to this.

1072. Why Protecting Your Reputation Is Detrimental To Progress

🎉 New #Podcast!

When we are innocent, we don't even know it when we are daring. However, when knowledge and experience comes, then we know that it will take a dare to get some things done.

As such, we are aware that there are some things at stake that we would be risking to trade them for the sake of going on a dare. Such a thing is our very name, our very reputation. There is a twist though, listen to this.

1071. The Greatest Reason Why We Don't Dare

🎉 New #Podcast!

There is a curious connection between innocence and daring. Our innocence causes us to do incredible things that we would otherwise not do when we are experienced.

Whatever the case, to dare is to do with full knowledge of the possibility of uncertainty, failure and even shame. We shall discuss all that and more in the succeeding episodes. Meanwhile, here is the greatest reason why we don't dare.

Apple in the 80's captured the spirit of the dare with their inspiring ad, "Think Different". From that iconic moment to date, they have taught the world how to dare. Here is why we ought to challenge our own status quo.

1065. Killing Short-Termism and Impatience Through Visioneering

🎉 New #Podcast!

When we have short term view of our purpose pursuits, we tend to be susceptible to impatience. This invariably leads to the abortion of projects, purpose, ideas and many other things.

It can easily become a vicious cycle if we are not careful. Purpose, inherently, is not short term. It is always going to be long term. That's why we need to think long when we are pursuing purpose so we can handle our impatience. Listen to this.
