Money is a huge topic. But don't you think it is unfair for the school system not to ably and thoroughly cover the subject of "Personal Finances" for our children? Who is to blame?
Whose responsibility is it to teach them about finances? About different streams of income? About investments, treasury bills, shares and so on? Is it really the school system?
Does the school system have the focus, the mandate and the will to do that? I think that as long as these things are not examinable, nobody in the school fraternity bothers. It doesn't affect the mean score performance of the school.
