If you keep yourself fresh and well attended to, it sends a signal to the world. It tells the world that you are alive and that you care.
That is the same thing with a personal brand.
Creating a personal brand is one thing, but delivering value consistently and refreshing yourself as you do that is not an automatic thing. One has to plan consciously how it is done.
If not, people will forget or assume that you are no longer interested in your brand, or you do not care at the end of the day. Consequently, your brand suffers a body blow. Let's see how this can be rectified.
